Lyon is a pretty awesome town to visit and makes a great stopover point if you heading down to campsites in the south of France, or perhaps to sites in the French Alps region.
Lyon, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, has very visible signs of 2,000 years of history, from the Roman Amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, to the medieval and Renaissance architecture in the old town, to the modern Confluence district on Presqu'île peninsula. It's an amazing day out.

A ride by Vaporetto
Take advantage of your stopover in Lyon to board the Vaporetto. This popular river shuttle will take you on a ride along the banks of the Saône to discover Old Lyon as far as the trendy Confluence district.
Tête d’Or Park
A true little corner of paradise, Parc de la Tête d'Or is the largest urban park in France. It offers a calm and green space, ideal for enjoying sunny days in Lyon. You can also go swimming here, as well as walk along the canals and play a number of sports.
The Blue Route to the Monts d’Or Lyon by bike
Cycling lovers are not left out at our campsite in Lyon. The Blue Route is a 40km route that connects Lyon to the plain of the Monts d'Or. A superb walk to discover magnificent landscapes, the medieval and industrial city of Lyon.
